Are you a Camper or a Glamper or both? Just because you are camping doesn’t mean that your style has to go out the window. You can still be cute, especially with some unique vintage jewelry to accessorize. You can be one with nature and also be one with style.
Earthy Tones
To match your camping style, finding pieces in earthy tones is a good start. Think greens, golds, browns or even floral pieces. If you can find pieces with birds or woodsy animals, that is always a plus and you will fit right in with nature. Feathers are also a great touch and very popular right now. A simple brooch can add that special touch.
Make a Little Effort
It doesn’t take much to style up a camping outfit. You may be wearing your hair up most of the time, so some vintage earrings and shorter necklaces will really class you up. Long necklaces work well if you are choosing to wear your hair down with a tank top. Chunky bracelets make a statement with very little effort. You want pieces that are durable because you may be having to battle the elements.
Be Confident
You have to be willing to take risks if you are glamming up a camping outfit. Not everyone is willing to wear jewelry while camping, but if you are, you will be known as a risk-taker. If you really want to step up your game, wear a statement piece with your flannel or wear a long dangly necklace with your green tank top. You can also add a large brassy cuff to finish off the camouflage look. Vintage inspired pieces really work well with the woodsy environment.
Final Notes
Whether you’re wearing camouflage, fringe, or flannel, you cannot go wrong with vintage inspired jewels. Whether you’re wanting to impress your friends with your undeniable style or just feel a little confidence around your main man, dressing up your camping style with a few unique accessories is a good bet. There is always room for a little bit of glam, even in the middle of the woods around a campfire.
Love the way you put jewelry and fashion pieces together with a theme!
Thank you so much! Polyvore is my fried!
MORE FUN STUFF – so creative!
Thank you for the kind words!
I agree wholeheartedly. 🙂
You must the a Glamper!
What a Fun post! Be a risk taker. Wear jewelry while camping! Love it!
Thanks for the kind words. I do love the think outside the box, so glad you see that.
My idea of roughing it is having to stay at a Holiday Inn instead of the Hilton. 😉 Anyway, I love earth tones and vintage jewelry. I have quite a collection that I inherited when my mom passed; one of the necklaces I got from her, I have a picture of her wearing it while she was holding me at one-month-old!
Love that you thought of the picture with your mom! Goal of blogging is to stir emotion, and so glad you shared!
Oh glamping is my favorite hobby! These are great – a glamping gal needs her jewels 🙂
Love that you are a glamping gal!
I love your style and sense of fashion. Thanks for sharing these tips with us
Thank you for the kind words, and more tips to come!
Hi Robin,
I love the tips here on glamping up when camping. I think I would invest more glamp into my actual housing and sleeping arrangements for camping. I went camping for the 1st time two years ago and it was a bit rugged for me so if I ever do it again, everything is getting glamped up!!
You glamp it girl. We deserve to be cute if we have to rough it!
Ohhhh, I do love me some camo… in various colors. LOVE earthy tones
Pink camo is cute!
Reading your blogs should come with a fresh fruit drink and either a candle or being in the garden. I love your creativity. Takes me back to my 20s!
Candess, you surely put a smile on my face! Might just have to do a post with drinks and candles and gardens!
If ladies would dress up their camo like this – I just wouldn’t mind one bit! Too many don’t and look “frumpy” and not too “hip” at all! Great put togethers here!
Thanks for the kind words! I agree with frumpy, and next blog post is about thus:)
I SO admire the way you can put everything together so perfectly. I love earth toned jewelry and appreciate your tips on how to put jewelry and clothes together. Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words! Polyvore is my favorite tool for creating the looks.
Loving that Hunger Games brooch too!
Thanks! Love the parallel.
Some nice tips for how to glam it up also when out in the nature etc.:-)
Thanks for the kind words – and may have to glam it up in the vines:)
I used to do a lot of hiking and camped at mountain peaks. I should have seen your blog post then. I love the femininity and style you have showcased here.
What fun to camp on the peaks!
