Holiday Party Style
Holiday parties feature sugar cookies, decorations, music, friends and loved ones. They’re also a great time to break out jewelry pieces you might not wear on a daily basis. No matter what kind of holiday celebrations you plan this year, accessories can play a big part in completing your outfit. You have your “little black dress” (or blue or red or …), what are your best choices in jewelry?
Gold Is a Great Go To Choice
Golds are always great, but this year people are really going for the gold. Vintage gold jewelry is a great way to glitz up a plain outfit, taking it from blah to fab. Gold dangly earrings or gold wrap bracelets with green accents are pretty and festive all in one. Look for pieces with traces of red to really amp up that holiday spirit.
Go Green!
Green is a great holiday color that really doesn’t go out of style. Green looks great with gold, as mentioned above, but it also looks good with red, silver, and white. Add little bits of green into your vintage jewelry pieces for a look that will turn heads. Don’t do too much green though; it can quickly become overkill. Mix it in with more neutral colors.
Think Sparkly
Of course, the holiday season is all about the sparkle, the lights, and the excitement. Go with vintage pieces with bits of sparkle to add the finishing touch to that party dress. Whether it is a long dangly necklace, a cute wrap bracelet, or simple earrings, a little touch of sparkle will show with every move you make.

I love the idea of vintage jewelry, and have a lot of it I hardly ever wear. Great idea!
Just love those earrings!
Glad you got some ideas for wearing your jewelry. And, the earrings are awesome:)
I love the page and the earrings are pretty.
Thanks for your kind comments, and glad you like the page.
Nothing better than a statement piece of jewelry. It can really transform an outfit
Statement jewelry is so hot; just doesn’t hang around long. I agree, can transform an outfit.
The green broach is so so pretty. I’m neither a green fan or a broach fan BUT this is so so pretty. The earnings are pretty fancy too.
Thanks for the kind words; hope to inspire, and got you seeing green:)
It is such fun to celebrate the season with amazing jewellery. I love the vintage look. The little brooch is lovely. I love sparkle too and the sparkle on those shoes looks amazing.
It is fun to celebrate and wear things we might not normally wear. Wishing you an amazing Holiday season!
I always love your blogs that inspire and teach. You may have inspired me to have a small holiday party. I clicked on you link to see what you have for sale. I don’t really understand the bid process. In another blog or here can you share with us how to purchase your beautiful jewels?
Candess, great comment, and thanks for sharing your sentiment. I will work on that.
I agree… you can always win with “sparkly” stuff for holiday parties… period.
BTW… side note.. also love the baubles that are made for wine glass stems so folks know who’s glass is whose.
Sparkle works great! And I love the wine baubles as well:)
I always think Sparkly when it comes to the Holidays. and it is virtually the only time I wear these few pieces that are in my wardrobe.
Since I moved to Arizona I have found that there is not as much dress up time. Many of the events, even the symphony feature people in casual clothing. (not as casual as jeans but certainly not dressy)
Yeah, not much dressing up in Arkansas either. But . . if I do add Bling to a denim jacket, everyone loves it!
Great ideas to ‘sparkle’ up your holiday outfits with jewelry, Robin! I love semi-precious stones personally and usually match whatever necklace and bracelets I choose to wear to my outfit. Although I don’t really dress up too often, I love the idea of dressy or vintage jewelry for the times I do!
Thanks for the kind comments. I have taken to wearing my dressy jewelry with jeans or leggings or whatever; and other folks love it!
Cool tips…and I like the gold accessory tip here.
Thanks for the kind comments, and glad you like the tips.

There is something about wearing sparkles, that gets you in the party mood. I love the idea of the vintage jewelry. So many beautiful pieces that are as classic today as yesterday. Thanks for getting us in the sparkle mood.
Glad you are getting in the mood, and Happy Holidays!
I love that blue!! You always share such rich tips for accessorizing. I’ve been using your tips when I go to networking events. I’ll be doing the same when I go to a holiday party in a few weeks. I didn’t used to like vintage looks but I do now:-)
Thanks for letting me know you are using some of the tips – very cool! It is fun to accessorize!
I think sparkly goes with most anything. I need to put a little more thought into my pieces.
Good point about sparkly goes with everything – I love a sparkle pin on a denim jacket.
I love the holidays’ suggested accessories. It is indeed fun as I like reds, greens and sparkly stuff. Can’t wait for the celebrations!
You are set to look fabulous! Happy holidays!
